Aston Villa boss David O'Leary admits they're fighting a losing battle in contract talks with defender Gary Cahill.
O'Leary praised the performance of Cahill after yesterday's 0-0 draw with West Brom, but admitted the 20-year-old has still to put pen to paper on a new contract.
He said: "Gary came into the side and did us proud. He's been offered a contract which is worth four times what he is on now.
"It is a fair offer but his representatives feel it is not good enough. The ball is in their court."
