Abramovich wants Gago at Chelsea


Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is willing to bid against Real Madrid and Barcelona for the services of Boca Juniors midfielder Fernando Gago.

The 19 year-old Argentine originally caught the eye of Atletico Madrid in the summer and has since been watched by representatives from Real and Barca this season in Argentina.
Roman Abramovich is willing to pay handsomely for the youngster, who is held in similar esteem to Lionel Messi and Sergio Agüero in his homeland. Whilst Gago does not feature in Jose Mourinho's plans, the Russian has nevertheless had his Sporting Director Frank Arnesen watch the player in action.
