
AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti wants Thierry Henry to spearhead Real Madrid's 2006/07 season.
Sources close to Real have told AS that Ancelotti, who reportedly maintains a weekly conference with the Spanish club, is insistent that he wants Henry to partner Ronaldo in attack next season.
Real are set to table a contract offer to Henry with intermediaries indicating now is the right time for the club to make it's move.
Henry insists he won't make a decision about his future until the end of this season. A high-ranking Real official said: "Now is the time to convince Henry.
"We know he wants to be the figurehead of a new, champion project and Madrid can offer him that."
