Manchester United have launched an £8 million bid for Villarreal midfielder Juan Roman Riquelme.
The Argentina international has been a long-term target for United boss Sir Alex Ferguson and it emerged yesterday in Spain that an £8 million offer has been made for the playmaker.
Juventus are also ready to pounce should Villarreal president Fernando Roig choose to sell his star at the end of this season.
Riquelme is aware of United's interest, but insists he's happy in Spain and with Villarreal.
