Cahill: Villa contract row not about money

Aston Villa defender Gary Cahill insists his contract stalemate with the club has nothing to do with money.
He said: "I've still got a long time here and there are a lot of things that aren't about money.

"It's more important for me to play in the Premiership and if you play there then the money comes anyway.
"I've done well in my two games but I don't want to be a flash in the pan. The contract is not even on my mind."
He added: "I'm more than happy at Villa and I'm enjoying my football. If I can keep being consistent in performances then everything else will take care of itself.
"It's been a frustrating season and I'm glad it's finishing on a high. I was hoping to kick on this season and make my presence felt to a lot of people.
"Hopefully now I've got my chance I can keep my place in the team. First-team football is the most important thing for me."
