Arsenal boss Wenger: No gambling problem here

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits he has no rules against gambling among his players.
The Gunners boss cracks down on everything at Highbury with players banned from boozing 48 hours before a game, being told what they must eat and having to meet strict time-keeping guidelines.

But Wenger reckons he does not have to bother about his players running up massive betting debts because he does not have a problem at the club.
Wenger said: "We have hundreds of rules here at Arsenal but not one on gambling because I have never felt it was a real problem.
"If the players did play cards then I'd ignore them completely because every individual is responsible for what they do with their own money.
"My squad can play cards on the coach to matches but they do not play for big money.
"It is like listening to music, it can be a little bit of an attractive distraction.
"If it becomes a pressure on the player, it becomes negative. But that is down to where you feel how far you can let it go.
"And of course I would discourage any gambling on the day of a match because that too can lead to a distraction instead of focusing on the game.
"I feel big losses can affect them and everybody has to prepare in a proper way for the game ahead.
"That's why to make a big career you need to be strong and handle these type of things. If you lose too much money it can affect you."
