Glazers: We'll back Man Utd boss Ferguson in market

Sir Alex Ferguson has been told he can spend big as the Manchester United boss bids to end Chelsea's two-year domination of the Premiership.
And the Glazer family, who own United following their takeover last summer, say they are willing to back the Scot all the way.

"If Sir Alex Ferguson really wants a certain player then the Glazers would be willing to push whatever button required to get that player," a spokesman for the Americans told the Manchester Evening News.
United fans have feared since the takeover that the club would struggle to compete in the market with estimated debts of £540million.
"The debt has no bearing on expenditure," the Glazer's spokesman continued.
"The money available for the transfer budget comes out of cash flow from the club. There is cash around and a portion of that can go towards transfer fees.
"Of course the only way to demonstrate that to the fans is by spending money during the summer for the players the manager identifies. We will have to wait and see what happens on that."
