Chelsea are now back in for Marquez after a week where both William Gallas and Ricardo Carvalho declared they were ready to leave Stamford Bridge over the summer.
AC Milan are also chasing Marquez and like Chelsea are ready to meet Barca's £7 million asking price for the defender.
