German legend Franz Beckenbaur has questioned Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham's mental toughness.
The Kaiser, who captained and coached German sides to World Cup victories in 1974 and 1990, said: "It's quite possible that Beckham suffers from a mental block at big tournaments.
"He was sent off at the 1998 World Cup and he missed two penalties against France and Portugal at Euro 2004.
"Becks appears to have a problem with nerves."
