Lazio midfielder Gaby Mudingayi has revealed Juventus defender Fabio Cannavaro has apologised for the tackle that ended his season on Saturday.
Mudingayi will have an operation this week on his broken tibia and revealed: "Cannavaro has come to find me in the dressing rooms.
"He wanted to know how I was. He asked me to excuse him and he has explained that he did not do it on purpose."
But he added: "It was a very hard challenge. And he was not punished for it..."
