Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard is convinced the dismissal of Roberto Carlos worked in Real Madrid's favour after last night's 1-1 draw.
"It is certain that it changed things," said Rijkaard. "With the dismissal we dominated possession. Madrid protected themselves more, as is normal. It left less space and it created more danger to the counterattack.
"From one of those, the goal arrived from Ronaldo. He was very fast at everything he did.
"We played to win, we created chances, but there was no luck.
"We are not pleased with the result, but it is not bad. It is a pity, but seeing everything what we have ahead, it is not bad. To create so many chances is always a good sign."
