Bundesliga Round-Up

Bayern Munich were surprisingly held to a 2-2 draw by bottom club Cologne.
The clash between the runaway leaders and the relegation-threatened side was expected to be a mismatch, but when Matthias Scherz (12) handed Cologne a shock lead, it was clear that Bayern would have to work hard.
In a topsy-turvy game, Willy Sagnol (29) equalised, before Albert Streit (36) restored Cologne's lead. Roy Makaay (39) secured a share of the points for Bayern
Werder Bremen moved up to second with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt, Miroslav Klose's penalty (70) proving the difference.
Steve Marlet (90) snatched a last minute leveller for Wolfsburg against MSV Duisburg, after Peter van Houdt (74), had given the visitors a late lead.
High-flying Hertha Berlin held off Stuttgart 2-0 at the Olympiastadion, with Brazilian ace Marcelinho (47 and 69) bagging a brace.
Borussia Monchengladbach were indebted to Nando Rafael for their 2-1 win at home to Borussia Dortmund. Nando's goals (6 and 34) were sandwiched between Tomas Rosicky's strike (16).
BayerLeverkusen cruised to a comfortable 5-1 victory over Kaiserslautern, with Dimitar Berbatov (37, 61 and 90) grabbing a hat-trick and Clemens Fritz (85) also netting for the home side after Tranquillo Barnetta had given them the lead (9). Marcelo Pletsch (64) briefly raised the visitors' hopes.
Nurnberg increased the pressure on struggling FSV Mainz in the day's final game. Ivan Saenko's early strike (3) provided a springboard for the 3-0 win, with Stefan Kiessling (68) and Robert Vittek (80) also getting on the scoresheet.
