Floro admitted the Kop skipper is top of their summer shopping list.
And although boss Rafa Benitez and Liverpool have refused to comment publicly, they are furious at Real for trying to unsettle their midfield talisman just days before their FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea.
Gerrard, 25, almost moved to Stamford Bridge last summer, but Liverpool hoped they had put an end to speculation about his future when he did a U-turn and signed a new four-year deal.
Now Floro has stirred things up again by declaring he had identified the England star as a "priority" signing, along with Inter Milan striker Adriano.
