Liverpool are ready to test Blackburn Rovers' resolve for striker Craig Bellamy.
Bellamy is top of Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez's shopping list for the summer market as he seeks to boost his team's firepower.
A source close to Bellamy told the The Journal: "Craig is wanted by Liverpool as they are going to rebuild their strikeforce next season. They are also very interested in Jermain Defoe and they are very interested indeed in Darren Bent.
"With Peter Crouch and possibly Robbie Fowler, that would hopefully give them the firepower to compete with Chelsea."
