Villarreal goalkeeper Sebastian Viera is desperate to face Arsenal in the Champions League semis.
The Gunners boss pulled out of signing Viera from Colombia's Nacional de Medellin last summer after a deal had been agreed.
Arsenal doctors claimed the Uruguay star had a dodgy hip but Viera had no problems passing a Villarreal medical and has proved his fitness.
Viera said: "It's unbelievable this has happened just as we are about to play Arsenal.
"I hope to play in the second leg - I'll keep something special in reserve.
"I've always said Arsenal would be my preferred opponents. I don't resent them, but let's just say playing them is something I need for my own peace of mind after what happened last summer."
